Xbox Series S 1TB Console Now Available for Pre-Order

The Xbox Series S 1TB console is now available for pre-order at Amazon UK. Previously, it could only be pre-ordered on the Microsoft Store. The Amazon pre-order option is also 99p cheaper than buying directly from Microsoft.

The updated Series S comes in black and features a 1TB internal SSD. It will be released on September 1, 2023, just in time for the launch of the highly anticipated game Starfield. Priced at £299, it is only £50 more than the standard white Series S. With this additional cost, you are almost doubling your storage capacity, providing the same amount of space as the more premium Xbox Series X.

The new Series S offers fast load times and gameplay of up to 120 FPS, making it an ideal midweight option for current-gen gaming at a more affordable price.

Included with the console are one Xbox Wireless Controller, a high-speed HDMI cable, power cable, and two AA batteries. The Series S is disc-free, meaning it does not play physical copies of games. However, you can enjoy thousands of digital games available on the Xbox Store. To expand your games library even further, you can subscribe to Game Pass for as low as £8.99 a month and play some of the biggest Xbox-exclusive titles for less.

Starfield, one of the highly anticipated games, will be available on Game Pass on the launch day. It will require a file size of 125GB, which is over a fifth of a white Series S’s internal storage. With the 1TB Series S, you will have ample space for Starfield and other games.

Todd Howard, the director of Starfield, has commented on the performance of the game on the Series S, stating that it “looks great.”

If you are interested in the 1TB Series S, let us know in the comments whether you will be picking one up to play Starfield or if you prefer to pay more for a Series X. Be sure to follow our Deals hub for more tech and gaming deals throughout the week.
