Theocracy Releases Title Track “Mosaic” From Upcoming Album

The progressive power metal band, Theocracy, has released the title track from their upcoming album, “Mosaic.” The song showcases the band’s signature elements, including power metal-driven verses and choruses, a thrashy solo section, and a range of musical influences. The accompanying music video was created Industrialism Films.

According to frontman Matt Smith, “Mosaic” is one of his personal favorite songs and pays homage to the peak of power metal. The lyrics explore the concept of how individual scenes in our lives contribute to the larger tapestry of who we become. Smith explains that the song incorporates psychology, spirituality, nostalgia, and wonder, taking listeners on a journey in just over five minutes.

The ten-track album, “Mosaic,” was recorded, produced, and mixed Matt Smith at Theocracized Studios and Full Moon Studios in Athens, Georgia. It was mastered Emily Lazar and Chris Allgood at The Lodge in New York. The album’s artwork, created Steven Howard, reflects the title’s stained-glass window theme.

The album will be released on October 13, 2023, via Atomic Fire Records. Fans can pre-order the album physically or digitally to receive instant downloads of “Mosaic” and the first single, “Return to Dust.” The album will be available in various formats, including CD-digipak, jewelcase-CD, and various colored vinyls.

In celebration of the album’s release, Theocracy will be performing at the Loud And Proud Festival in Betzdorf, Germany, on October 13, 2023. The band, formed in 2002, has been hailed for their majestic metal sound, drawing comparisons to bands like Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica, and Symphony-X. With “Mosaic,” Theocracy aims to take their music to the next level on their new partnership with Atomic Fire Records.
