The new capabilities include submission and quote APIs, as well as portal options. These enhancements are a response to agent and broker feedback, with the aim of improving customer experiences.

The new digital experiences offer several benefits, including faster speed to market, the ability to quickly share data and information, easier submissions with pre-populated data, increased accuracy, and streamlined workflow. These enhancements save time and provide agents and brokers with easier access to share submission data and request quotes for general liability, auto, property, and workers’ compensation accounts.

Agents and brokers can access the new business submission process through direct API capabilities and online portals. The Hartford has also partnered with Highwing, Inc., a company focused on data management and processing solutions, to enable API operating relationships with agents and brokers who use vendor API solutions for their midsize, large, and specialty accounts. This partnership ensures open communication, transparency, and accurate data sharing with The Hartford.

These digital enhancements complement the company’s existing Electronic Business Center (EBC) Agent Portal. By leveraging technology, The Hartford aims to provide a seamless and efficient experience for agents and brokers, ultimately improving the overall customer experience.
