Shipley Do-Nuts, a Texas-based bakery cafĂ© chain, has recently launched its first loyalty program called Do-Happy Rewards. This program has been rolled out across all 340 of the company’s outlets, following a successful trial in its Houston locations last year.

The Do-Happy Rewards program allows members to earn points on their purchases, with rewards including free donuts and discounted coffees. In addition to the loyalty benefits, the program also offers streamlined online ordering for pickup or delivery.

Since the introduction of online ordering and the launch of the loyalty program, Shipley Do-Nuts has seen positive results. In the second quarter of 2023, the business reported an 11% increase in same-store sales, which can be attributed to the continued roll-out of online ordering across all outlets. Digital sales have also risen 23% compared to the previous year.

Currently, Do-Happy Rewards has over 40,000 members, and loyalty members tend to spend 60% more on average compared to non-enrolled customers. This success has prompted Shipley Do-Nuts to expand its footprint in the US market. The company aims to almost double its number of stores over the next five years.

Shipley Do-Nuts has already announced its plans to enter the Midwest market, with potential sites in Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Missouri, and Ohio. This expansion comes in addition to the existing franchise recruitment campaigns in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Florida.

By combining a loyalty program with the convenience of online ordering, Shipley Do-Nuts aims to drive customer loyalty, enhance the customer experience, and generate business for its franchisees.
