Fujitsu Continues Expansion in Australia with Acquisition of MF & Associates

Fujitsu continues its expansion in the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) region with the acquisition of MF & Associates, a company established in 2019. This marks the fifth purchase for Fujitsu in the ANZ region since 2021. The acquisition is expected to complement recent acquisitions, including Microsoft specialist Oobe and cyber security firm InPhySec, enhancing Fujitsu’s security offerings in Australia.

The acquisition is a significant step forward for Fujitsu Uvance, the company’s business brand focusing on resolving societal issues through digital solutions. Fujitsu aims to expand Uvance’s consulting capabilities, with the goal of having up to 10,000 dedicated staff fiscal year 2025. This growth plan aims to create a robust organization capable of addressing customers’ business issues and delivering solutions at scale.

CEO of Fujitsu Asia Pacific, Graeme Beardsell, emphasized the company’s commitment to investing in exceptional digital transformation (DX) companies to accelerate customer success. Beardsell stated that Fujitsu is experiencing growing demand for consulting and cyber security capabilities, and the acquisition of MF & Associates’ highly experienced consultants will support customers’ needs.

MF & Associates will maintain its independent identity and all team members while operating as a standalone Fujitsu company. It will be rebranded as “MF & A, a Fujitsu company” and will continue under the leadership of Mat Franklin, the Managing Director. Franklin expressed excitement about becoming part of the global technology company and the synergies it will create for clients on their digital transformation journeys.

The terms of the deal were not disclosed Fujitsu.
