Dynepic Earns $1.25M Contract to Expand Digital Thread Capabilities on MOTAR and Future-proof USAF Training Content

Dynepic, Inc.® has been awarded a $1.25M contract AFWERX for an AFVentures SBIR/STTR Open Topic Phase II contract. This contract will focus on adapting MOTAR® to address the most pressing challenges in the Department of the Air Force (DAF).

The partnership between the Air Force Research Laboratory and AFWERX aims to streamline the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) process. By accelerating the small business experience through faster proposal to award timelines, expanding opportunities to small businesses, and eliminating bureaucratic overhead through process improvement changes, the program seeks to enhance the innovation capabilities of the DAF.

Dynepic’s CEO, Krissa Watry, highlighted the need for a cohesive standard in identifying, tracking, and remixing 3D assets across USAF groups. The lack of such a standard has caused disruptions and wasted time for Airmen. With MOTAR’s digital thread capabilities, users can maintain links to original authoritative sources while also creating digital remixes. This ensures that training apps leverage the most current certified models, ultimately future-proofing USAF content within MOTAR Hub.

This contract reflects Dynepic’s mission to power an open ecosystem of multi-dimensional knowledge for a better tomorrow. As a woman- and service-disabled veteran-founded tech company headquartered in Reno, Nevada, Dynepic is committed to providing innovative solutions that strengthen the national defense of the United States.
