Pre-Orders Open for First Martians, Stretch Goals Announced

First Martians: Adventures on the Red Planet has officially begun taking pre-orders, and Portal Games is handling them in a very Kickstarter-style way.

There are several different stretch goals that will get unlocked along the way as they hit copies sold goals. The first ones to look forward to are washed minatures, transparent markers and stickers, cheats and codes, a game book, and 15 more events that will be co-designed by Ignacy Trzewik and fans.

A major bonus for pre-ordering the game is that you will get First Martians a full four weeks before anyone else.

First Martians is built on the rules system of another of Trzewik’s games, Robinson Crusoe: Adventures on the Cursed Island, which is a fabulous co-op focused on surviving on a cursed island.

First Martians will also be about surviving in a hostile setting, but as you can tell from the name, it will be set on Mars, and not a cursed island. The game will have different rules for the new, alien setting, though we don’t know much about the rules at this point.

Something else that’s new is First Martians will also require an app. The app will allow players to choose a mode, single game, open world, or campaign. These modes all have different game type choices as well, so it seems like the replay value will be high on this one.

The game costs $75, and you can pre-order it here.
